JOB SUMMARY
The Inside Sales and Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the Sales Department in all aspects of sales. The Specialist supports the remote sales team by researching answers to internal questions, researches information, enters data in SalesForce.com, pulls reports, prepare presentations, trains sales and their customers on National MI’s internal systems. The Specialist works closely with field-based representatives to ensure we capture and develop all business opportunities.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare presentations and request for proposals for customers, at Sales Department request.
  • Lead/Drive internal support initiatives through corporate office for sales.
  • Communicate directly with customers on specific initiatives, as agreed by manager.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of corporate departments/processes to support sales’ needs.
  • Provide assistance for various corporate initiatives.
  • Direct sales to information and train sales on how to find information on mobile devices.
  • Train sales and customers on National MI systems.
  • Use Salesforce.com (SFDC) extensively to input and report out information.
  • Suggest process improvements for SFDC based on daily observations of current requests.
  • Present management with repeat requests and ideas from sales, for training or process improvement.
  • Create and identify new business opportunities by interacting with a wide variety of accounts from small- and medium-sized organizations, as needed.
  • Work closely with, and support, the Field Sales team on account strategy, demand generation activities, and results. Provide assistance in resolving field sales inquiries when needed. May organize and execute specialized projects such as call-out campaigns, data updates or creating presentations.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of NMI products and technologies, competitive products and industry trends.
  • Monitor the DOMO activity of customers and ensure proper attention to every customer detail.
  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities, as needed.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three years of sales support and or sales experience. Preferably with prior customer service, mortgage industry and mortgage lending experience.
  • Two or more years’ experience in customer relationship management, mortgage lending, and/or Loan Origination/direct lending experience.
  • Knowledge of various loan origination systems, document management, and pricing engine systems a plus (e.g., Encompass, Optimal Blue).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One-Note and Salesforce CRM.
  • Must be proficient in presentation skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills, using all forms of media.
  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible to changing priorities and varied duties on a daily basis.
  • Must have a professional demeanor and be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and be results–driven.
  • Superior customer service and problem-solving skills.
