The Corporate Analytics Manager is responsible for the management and administration of data analytic requests, with a focus on outbound risk sharing transactions the company has with its counterparties. Activities include preparing data, reports and analysis of risk sharing agreements and management of reinsurance reporting. May also include interacting with reinsurance brokers, trustees, and other third party counterparties to ensure risk share reporting is timely and accurate, and contractual requirements are followed.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Corporate Analytics Team, including mentoring, training, review of work products and task/project prioritization.
  • Build data sets and reporting of various corporate metrics and characteristics as needed by the business, including primary responsibility for the loans in risk sharing agreements to help facilitate company-wide reporting.
  • Onboard new risk sharing transactions by analyzing risk share agreements and creating reporting and processes to administer agreements.
  • Generate periodic reporting for distribution to counterparties.
  • Collaborate with IT Department on documenting business requirements and future system enhancements to aid in the development of advancing functionality.
  • Conduct data mining efforts in order to provide access to data by creating automated reports and analysis and communicating them to various management teams. This will be accomplished through use of SQL Server/MySQL tools, MS Access and MS Excel.
  • Drive Change Management and Control best practices, procedures and standards and apply to the reporting process.
  • Position requires extensive interaction with internal functions such as Finance, Risk Management, Operations, IT, Legal and Servicing.
  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities, as needed.


ESSENTIAL Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. Master’s degree or related industry certifications related to this position are a plus.
  • Five years of experience in insurance, mortgage, or related industry.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage market, including origination and servicing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience managing a small team.
  • Demonstrated skill in problem-solving, analytical aptitude, organization, and time management.
  • Possess computer skills including intermediate/advanced database query/SQL experience, as well as Microsoft Access, Excel (including pivot tables), and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn proprietary software products used in supporting the business operations.
  • Thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Proven ability to evaluate business processes and recommend changes that drive increased efficiency.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Work ethically and with integrity supporting organizational goals and values.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit sound judgment when making decisions and recommendations.
  • Strategic thinker – ability to look beyond today’s request and anticipate tomorrow’s follow-up.
