POSITION SUMMARY
The Servicing Specialist is responsible for the servicing of requests in relation to new and existing Certificates in the company systems. The Specialist will update customer portfolios, process premium payments daily, and perform all special client related requests. The position will maintain internal and external relationships and engage in strong collaboration with the leadership team.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the management of customer portfolios related to premium billing, payment processing, and Certificate administration.
- Accountable for billing servicers, reconciling the receipt of premium, and working through any discrepancies in the customer’s portfolio.
- Handle internal and external customer reporting requests related to Servicing activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Operations, Sales, IT, and Finance to create and support organizational objectives.
- Work with members from our IT Department and Policy Servicing to recommend future enhancements to our systems.
- Collaborate with members of Finance in processing servicing activities related to premium payments that are in check or electronic forms.
- Build and maintain successful relationships with lenders and servicers.
- Ability to interpret the Master Policy and explain its intent to lenders and employees.
- Continue to learn about the different products the company will deploy and support in the future, and the programs that the GSE’s and Servicers will introduce.
- Ability to articulate the meaning and purpose of corporate and department policies and procedures.
- Perform ad hoc responsibilities, as needed.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum one years of experience in mortgage lending or servicing capacity.
- Experience in creating and maintaining successful relationships with internal and external customers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Completes work in a timely manner and meets deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Meets productivity standards and achieves key outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and uses information appropriately.
- Exhibits sound judgment when making decisions and recommendations.
- Analyze and interpret information accurately.
Base Salary Range: $49,000 - $60,000/year
